Disney pretty much runs the world of entertainment with their movies, but there’s one area they’re yet to dominate the streaming service world with the title currently owned by Netflix.
However, if Disney CEO Bob Iger has his way (and he normally does) it won’t be long until things change and the mouse house is crowned new champions and it looks like they’re going to do everything in their power to do so.
Not only are they going to put all their films from animation to Pixar to Marvel and Lucasfilm on this service, but they’ll also removing all Disney content from other streaming services before making it exclusive to Disney’s still yet untitled service set to launch in 2019.

As for Marvel/Netflix shows no one knows what’s going to happen with the likes of Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, The Defenders and the brand new Daredevil spin-off The Punisher, which will premiere on Friday 17th November. However, it is likely there won’t be anything new coming.
So let see if Disney will have an R-rated section so they can have a Blade TV series etc.
Iger did reveal they’ll be a Star Wars live action TV series and this is a no-brainer as this could be something for Disney to compete with the likes of Game of Thrones and I’d bet at least 80% this Star Wars series will be based on the idea and scripts George Lucas had written focusing on the Underworld on the bounty hunters and crime in the galaxy.
Two other series were announced with one based on the animated classic Monsters Inc and the other centred on High School Musical, but it’s unclear where these series will take place.

Pricing is yet to be worked out, but they are planning to offer the service at the low price than Netflix with the standard plan costing $11 in the US and £6 in the UK.
I’m going to just wait and see as I’ve already got Netflix, Amazon and the WWE network and with DC also making their own streaming service I suspect a lot of people will compare because if I’m honest, even though the Star Wars TV series does interest me, if I want to watch Rogue One or The Last Jedi then I’ll buy the Blu-ray as it’ll be cheaper in the long run.
