Following the sacking of director Bryan Singer from the Freddie Mercury/ Queen biopic Bohemian Rhapsody earlier this week, 20th Century Fox has found his replacement and it’s a great choice.

The person who will step in is none other than Britain’s own Dexter Fletcher, which is such a great choice it makes me think why didn’t they go with him in the first place!

Fletcher has had successes with British based films such as Eddie The Eagle and musical Sunshine on Leith. He’s also a successful actor starting in Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels, Layer Cake, Stardust and Kick-Ass.

In the Fox announcement, it states Fletcher is expected to resume filming next week and they hope to still hit the US cinemas on Christmas Day 2018 and in the UK on December 28, 2019.
