Margot Robbie Is Making Her Separate Harley Quinn Movie

It looks like Warner Bros is more in love with Harley Quinn then the fans are as the studio aren't planning just one spin-off movie, but maybe at least four!

Harley Quinn/Joker movie, Gotham City Sirens and Suicide Squad 2 have been discussed at some point throughout 2017 after the popularity the character got after the release of Suicide Squad, but Warner Bros and DC Entertainment still haven’t commented to anything.

However, Harley herself Margot Robbie wants to return in 2018 saying earlier this week, “I hope to be playing Harley again, at least next year.”

This got fans thinking it could likely see her return in Suicide Squad 2 with some reports suggesting it could begin filming in 2018, but there are some other fans wanting to see her return in Gotham City Sirens.

However, Robbie has thrown a spanner into a mix revealing to MTV she’s developing a different Harley Quinn film.

“I’ve been working on a separate spinoff Harley thing for a while,” when asked if it was Harley/Joker or Gotham City Sirens, she stated, “No. It’s a totally separate one.”

This is when some head scratching begins and it doesn’t help with Robbie elaborating her statement and reveals the current state of developing at the DCEU.



“There’s a lot going on right now and I’m not sure. I, honestly, I don’t think anyone knows what’s going to be the next thing to happen. But I think everyone’s keen to get Harley back on screen, so everyone is working on lots of different versions of what that could be.”

With a number of irons in the DCEU fire, the Australian actress knows where she wants to take Harley next teasing, “I wanna see her with other women. I was like, I kept saying it we were shooting Suicide Squad. I was like, ‘she needs her girlfriends. She needs other girls around her because she loves that.’ You’ve seen that she loves meeting people, any people, but she needs a little girl gang.”

I can’t help but think she is talking about Gotham City Sirens which is Harley’s girl gang with Poison Ivy and Catwoman. Whatever happens, it’s clear Robbie wants to come back and WB/DC want her back.
