Nightwing Director Chris McKay Gives Update On The Film

One DC Film that has gotten fans excited is the Chris McKay directed Nightwing movie.

Revealed last month he’d give fans an update for Valentine’s Day and he decided to give it to us earlier posting this on Twitter.

The fact the script is nearly done is awesome and the fact he’ll give Warner Bros an idea of what he wants the film to be is also great news.

A “rip-o-matic” is when directors use images and music from other media like films, TV, Ads to give studios an idea of what the director is aiming towards.

I like and respect the fact that he’s told fans this is going to take some time and good! We want something great instead of something shitty and rushed.

The LEGO Batman director also gave fans a chance to have their say about what they would want when casting the role of Dick Grayson. The obvious answer is someone with a great arse because that’s the most important thing, I mean look at that booty. DAMN!

McKay gave four options, all of which will likely be in his thinking anyway and I went for vulnerable and emotional as it’s important to connect to Grayson becoming his own hero leaving the shadow of Bruce Wayne and Batman.

Plus, any actor can train to be a badass martial artist and McKay has previously stated he’s going to make his star train stating “Whoever gets cast as Nightwing, and any of the other actors around, are gonna go through a fucking boot camp experience because it’s gonna be a lot. I’m not gonna do a lot of CG. It’s gonna be all real shit.

“It’s gonna be real stuntwork, and they’re gonna need to do all of the stuff on camera and do it credibly. Everything he does is gonna have to be real. His superpower is being really fucking good, as a human being, at fighting and gymnastics and shit like that, so you’re gonna see that on screen. It’s gonna be fun!”

He's got to do all that whilst also have time to get those squats in.

I don’t need to say but we all know McKay is going to fucking own this film and if you need proof, watch LEGO Batman.

The only things that I care about at this moment in time are A) Lorne Balfe better score the film, B) Hope there’s a cameo for McKay’s dog and C) Use Marmozets’ song ‘Play’ or ‘Major System Error’ for a fight sequence.
