Today is the day (Thursday 8th February) where I was glad to have had Venom in my Top 10 most anticipated films of 2018.
After yesterday (Wednesday 7th February) reveal of the very cool and Todd McFarlane (creator of Venom) stylized poster. My excitement to what this teaser trailer was going to give us.
Glad to say it’s very much a teaser and you get a real sense of the feel of what Tom Hardy and director Ruben Fleischer are going for with this film while giving female fans a reason to watch this sexy British actor do his thing.
This thing is to make Eddie Brock very much from New York with a Brooklyn/Bronx style accent and we’ll have to wait until the full trailer to see him kick ass and scare people.

This is the main observation I made with this teaser trailer, it looks like it’s very much going to be an action/horror film, which as someone who isn’t really a fan of the horror genre, I’m looking forward to.
We also got a quick tease of the symbiote that'll turn journalist Brock into one of the deadliest badasses in Marvel Comics history.
Also to the people complaining about the fact we didn't see Hardy as Venom. Remember, this is just a teaser, the film just finished shooting two weeks ago, we have eight months until the film is released and months before that until the first official trailer reveals all.

It’ll bring something different to the superhero genre, which is ever much needed right now.
With New Mutant’s changing release date until 2019, Venom is now in my top three most anticipated superhero films.
The cast is incredible and includes Michelle Williams, Riz Armed, Scott Haze, Jenny Slate and Reid Scott.
The synopsis is brief and will likely change once the full trailer comes out later on in the year. Maybe even until San Diego Comic-Con?
