Last Minute WWE Money In The Bank Predictions

IMAGE VIA WWE

WWE are in Chicago for the Money in the Bank and I’m here to give some last minute predictions for tonight’s PPV. Whatever happens, it’s going to be hard to beat previous night’s NXT Takeover because that show was fucking awesome.

Kick-Off

Smackdown Tag Team Championship – The Bludgeon Brothers (c) vs Luke Gallows & Karl Anderson

IMAGE VIA WWE

I’m a fan of Gallows and Anderson, they could’ve been the dominant tag team in WWE putting on classics against The Usos and New Day, but the company completely wasted them.

This has been a nice little build for The Club, but since their rebranding, the brothers who bludgeon have been dominating in five-minute matches and it’s not going to stop now.

I only hope this transition match for SAINTY to FINALLY make their main roster debut and they go into a feud with the Bludgeon Brothers, while the Club and Usos can have a storyline.

Winner – The Bludgeon Brother retain the Smackdown Tag Team Championship

Main Show

Intercontinental Championship – Seth Rollins (c) vs Elias

This could be the match that showcases Elias’ skills as a top-level midcarder and really benefit his career moving forward if he can hang with Rollins. It has the potential to be the best match on the card and defiantly the most entertaining.

Meanwhile, Rollins is the company’s MVP with the great things he’s with the IC title by continuing Miz’s work on making the title the most important in WWE and even though he deserves to be in the hunt for the Universal title, I predict that’ll happen post-Summerslam.

This means I’m going with Rollins retaining but if Elias helps bring the house down then a rematch will happen at Summerslam.

Winner – Seth Rollins retain the Intercontinental Championship

Bobby Lashley vs Sami Zayn

I don’t care about this feud, I want it to be over after the three count because both wrestlers deserve better and hopefully both will and build to something actually decent.

Zayn could go into the IC title picture and Lashley can build to be the tank to take on Brock Lesnar for the Universal Championship.

I want Zayn to win because I love him, but Lashley winning can kill this feud and for that reason alone I’m going with Lashley.

Winner – Bobby Lashley

Daniel Bryan vs Big Cass

Another feud I can’t give two shits about because Cass hasn’t done well and needs to move to someone new and Bryan has already beaten him clean TWICE, but with that logic then at the third time of asking Big Cass will finally get the win because he’s TALL and Bryan is SHORT.

Yet, if Bryan wins then we could maybe believe this feud is finished and we can see him do things we’ve wanted him to do like take on The Miz.

Winner – Big Cass (because he has to win one)

Roman Reigns vs Jinder Mahal

This is a hat-trick of feuds no one cares about and I won’t be surprised if the CM Punk chants will be at their loudest.

The more you look at this card the shitter it becomes and I’m sure WWE will likely go with the “upset win” where one Khallas equals to six F-5s but then again it’s Roman Reigns, and I like Roman, so it’s possible he’ll win and become top contender for the Universal title once again.

However, sod it I’m going with Jinder for the shits and giggles and continue the new storyline of the BIG DOG not able to win the big matches because of the company screwing him over.

Winner – Jinder Mahal

Smackdown Women’s Championship – Carmella (c) v Asuka

IMAGE VIA WWE

Ideally, Asuka should win and have a great build going into Summerslam against number one contender Charlotte Flair and have the story of Flair being the only woman to beat her one-on-one.

However, this is the WWE and Carmella has been a great heel with the title so to save everyone some respect some sort of interference or villainry maybe with a returning James Ellsworth or the Iconic Duo.

I just couldn’t bear seeing a wrestler as great as Asuka lose back-to-back singles PPV matches especially Carmella (no disrespect) and Asuka deserves the title and be the face of the division with a great feud to go into Summerslam.

Winner – Asuka wins to become new Smackdown Women’s Champion

Raw Women’s Championship – Nia Jax (c) vs Ronda Rousey

IMAGE VIA WWE

The most obvious thing would be Rousey wins, Natalya wins the women’s MITB, Ronda comes to celebrate with her friend and mentor and then Natalya turns heel knocks the new Raw woman’s champ down with the briefcase and picks up the win and title to build towards a Summerslam title match.

I just don’t or want Ronda’s first one-on-one victory to be picking up the title, she’d turn the fans against her too quickly after winning over their respect at Wrestlemania and Nia needs a little bit more of a run with the belt.

Hopefully, this will be a short match with Nia retaining.

Winner – Nia Jax retains the Raw Women’s Championship

WWE Championship – Last Man Standing Match – AJ Styles (c) vs Shinsuke Nakamura

IMAGE VIA WWE

We’re now on the fifth title match between these two and they’ve basically done everything apart from Shinsuke actually winning the title and that’ll all change at MITB in hopefully the classic match we wanted to see at Wrestlemania.

This will lead to a rematch at Summerslam and the hopefully the sixth and final match between these two for years to come.

Winner – Shinsuke Nakamura wins and becomes the new WWE Champion

Men’s Money In The Bank Ladder Match – Braun Strowman vs Finn Balor vs Kevin Owens vs The Miz vs Samoa Joe vs Bobby Roode vs Rusev vs A member of New Day

IMAGE VIA WWE

As for the member of New Day, I’m going with Xavier Woods but he’ll be used for highlight spots, I don’t see Roode winning and Strowman doesn’t need the MITB. With that, you have reasons for everyone else to have it and build them.

Rusev is massively over with the fans and they could do a Mr and Mrs Money In The Bank with Lana. Meanwhile, Joe could use as a mental game with the champion, Owens can get back into the main event.

Elsewhere, The Miz could keep ahold of it until Bryan becomes WWE champion and cash it on him to win and start their feud and then Balor can use it to finally get back into the main event and he has proven to go with anyone.

However, if the internet rumours are true and Men’s match will be won by someone on Smackdown and the Women’s on Raw then it’s even more likely for Joe or Miz to win, but I’m going for Balor and hopefully have something going into Summerslam.

Winner – Finn Balor wins the Men’s Money In The Bank

Women’s Money In The Bank Ladder Match – Becky Lynch vs Sasha Banks vs Alexa Bliss vs Charlotte Flair vs Natalya vs Naomi vs Lana vs Ember Moon

IMAGE VIA WWE

Similar to the men’s there are a lot of different stories that could come out for these women. I don’t see Naomi winning it and will be used for highlight spots and then Alexa could benefit not being in the title picture. Additionally, Charlotte doesn’t need it she’ll be number one contender soon enough.

Banks will no doubt try and kill herself during the match but she’d benefit and give her direction. Lana has the same reason for Rusev winning but she’s too similar to Carmella, but this match will make her a better wrestler. Natalya winning would be down to Ronda either winning tonight or whenever she gets the Raw Women’s title.

As for the two other women, both could really benefit from having the briefcase and we haven’t seen a babyface holding MITB for a while. Moon as the newcomer to the main roster would be great for her and Lynch hasn’t done much since becoming the first Smackdown Women’s champion and again this would really help her but in the Straight Fire’s case even more than Banks and Moon.

Furthermore, I believe this would be the start of a slow burner of turning Lynch heel and if it’s the case that Raw wins one and SD the other then it makes sense that I’d pick a winner from Tuesday night to balance from Balor’s winning.

Winner – Becky Lynch wins the Women’s Money In The Bank
