Kingsman Prequel The Great Game Have Begun Finding Their Cast

Following his interview with Empire Magazine back in June, we hadn’t heard much about Matthew Vaughn’s Kingsman prequel, The Great Game.

Until now as Collider has revealed a number of the cast joining the project with the legend Charles Dance and Daniel Brühl confirmed and Rhys Ifans in talks, but it’s likely he too will join.

Nothing is currently known about Dance and Brühl’s roles, but if Ifans does join he’ll be playing a dangerous Russian mystic. It has been previously reported that Matthew Goode is being looked at for a role but nothing has been confirmed.

Two roles that have been confirmed will be played by Ralph Fiennes and Harris Dickinson (who will play the young, cocky Conrad) and will clearly play the Harry/Eggsy dynamic.

As for the prequel itself, The Great Game will be set back to World War 1 with Vaughn exploring the origins of the secret service and it’ll blend the fictional universe of the Kingsman with the real-life Duke of Lancaster’s Regiment, which has had a rank known as Kingsman for over a century.

The Great Game is set to being filming in January with a release date set for November 8, next year.

As for the tone, it won’t be action packet like the two previous Kingsman movies instead will focus on being more of a period drama probably the reason for the quick turn around.

As for the third in the Taron Egerton Kingsman series the US trade has revealed it’ll set to film this year happening near the end around November.

So get ready because a crapload of Kingsman is coming our way with more to come with a TV show and a Statesman film on the horizon.
