Last week, I wrote a story about the Image superhero comic series Invisible was coming to Amazon as an animated series.

It also revealed the list of the voice talent set to join the series being led by The Walking Dead’s and Sorry To Bother You star Steven Yeun and he’ll be joined by many other bigger names I originally reported.

The Hollywood Reporter revealed the official cast that will include Sandra Oh, Mark Hamill, JK Simmons, Seth Rogan, Zazie Beetz have also been attached.

Joining this star-studded voice cast are  Gillian Jacobs (Love), Walton Goggins (Tomb Raider, Justified), Mae Whitman (Good Girls), Chris Diamantopoulos (Silicon Valley), Andrew Rannells (Black Monday), Jason Mantzoukas (Brooklyn Nine-Nine, John Wick: Chapter Three), Melise (The Flash), Grey Griffin (Avengers Assemble), Max Burkholder (Parenthood) and Kevin Michael Richardson (numerous DC animation and animation voice work).

What I didn’t learn when first reporting on this was the length of the series and Amazon will be airing eight hourlong episodes. This is the perfect length for the series as a lot of people will be able to binge it in a day and I won't be surprised if it's announced that the series will be R rated.

We also got a synopsis as the show will “revolve around Mark Grayson (Yeah), who’s just like every other guy his age – except that his father is the most powerful superhero on the planet, Omni-Man (Simmons). But as Mark develops powers of his own, he discovers that his father’s legacy may not be as heroic as it seems.”

No more additional info about the which actors the cast will be voice wasn’t released but they’ve got to be planning out this universe to expand across multiple seasons as I’m guessing four of these voices will be given to members of the Teen Team (Robot, Rex Plode, Dupli-Kate and Atom Eve).

Invincible will be premiering on Amazon in 2020.
