Justice League Villain May Have Been Revealed

Birth.Movies.Death has revealed the villain in Justice League: Part One and it’s NOT Darkseid, it turns out it might be Steppenwolf.

It’s fair to say no one knows who this villain really is, he’s not popular/well known even in comic book fan circles. The only thing we know is Steppenwolf is Darksied’s uncle and we’ve been introduced to him already (but more on that in a minute).

The opening weekend of Batman v Superman, Warner Bros released a deleted scene from the film called ‘Communion’, where Lex Luther (Jesse Eisenberg) talks to a monster before getting arrested and many diehard DC Comic fans said it’s Steppenwolf.

If this the case, then it pisses me off even more that this scene wasn’t in the actual theatrical release. However, this could be a good villain for the Justice League to just barely defeat before Darksied comes down.

Please take this rumour with a grain of salt until Warner Bros release the press release or we see it in the official image or trailer.

Darksied’s Involvement

Birth.Movies.Death also talked about how much Darksied is in Justice League saying he has a presence in the movie and will fully appear at the end.

Then Heroic Hollywood’s Umberto Gonzalez gave some more details (Warning! This could be spoilerish). However the script is getting rewritten daily on set so plans could change.

As it stands, we might also be seeing Darksied at the beginning in a flashback sequence:
“Around 30,000 years ago, the Amazonians, the Atlanteans, and Man successfully fought off Darksied here on Earth. He left three motherboxes behind and that folks is what Steppenwolf is after in Justice League: Part One.”

Again, take this with a grain of salt until some sort of press release or the trailer confirms this rumour.

Willem Dafoe’s Character May Have Been Revealed

When Willem Dafoe was cast in Justice League: Part One all we knew was that he was going to be play a “good guy.” Now Birth.Movies.Death has once again gotten some news on who he might be playing.

Now take this is again with another grain of salt, but Dafoe could be playing an Atlantean.

BMD also gave more insight into how they’ll be doing the Atlantean/underwater stuff in Justice League because Aquaman’s cameo in Batman v Superman was clearly Jason Momoa holding his breath in a water tank, not the coolest look for a superhero.

So instead of a water tank, director Zack Snyder has set up an elaborate two arm rig on a green screen – with the camera on one arm and Momoa on the other arm and the arms will be preprogrammed to be in sync so Momoa can do all his movements and the camera will follow him. Momoa’s hair will be CGIed into a flowy, underwater look.

 Wonder Woman Finished Filming

This past week, both Gal Gadot and director Patty Jenkins took to Twitter to announce they’ve finished shooting Wonder Woman with this photo.

Gadot and Jenkins talk about how great it was working together and Jenkins also posted multiple tweets praising Chris Pine and the other cast and crew.

Booster Gold Coming To The Big Screen

During an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, DC TV maestro Greg Berlanti, the man behind Sky 1’s Arrow, The Flash, Supergirl and DC’s Legends of Tomorrow, he was asked if he had been contacted by Warner Bros to oversee the DC Cinematic Universe, like Kevin Feige at Marvel.

Saying he hasn’t been asked, but loves the characters. During his answer, he also mentioned he is working on a Booster Gold movie, a DC character who’s a bit of a wise cracker, with Zack Stentz who’s writing the script and Berlanti added he would like to direct it.

He was also asked what advice he has for the director of The Flash movie saying “We have three words above the door (of the Flash room): “Heart, humour and spectacle.”
