BBC Films and Entertainment One have released the first official trailer for David Brent: Life on the Road.
Ricky Gervais returns to The Office character that made him
a star (cough, cough) as he goes on tour and tries to be a successful rock star
with his band Foregone Conclusion. Check out the trailer below.
He brings his unfunny personality onto the stage and makes rapper Doc Brown spit lines about fat people and dwarves. You do hear a line from ‘Equality Street’ and Brent shooting a t-shirt gun in a woman’s face.
The film follows Brent, 12 years on from the events of The Office,
as a travelling salesman selling cleaning and ladies personal hygiene products
as well as trying to become a rock star.
I’m guessing you can tell from this story I literally don’t
give a flying toss about this film and just know this is going to be a massive
failure. Watching the trailer I didn’t laugh or smile once and this film is for
the fans of the TV and Gervais himself.
