The brilliance of the Empire Awards is they’re voted by the magazine's readers as well as being open to the public and it shows with film fans favourite Get Out getting five nods including Best Film, Best Director and Best Male Newcomer for Daniel Kaluuya.
Elsewhere, Wonder Woman has received plenty of love with Patty Jenkins getting a Best Director nom and Best Actress for Gal Gadot as well as Best Film and Best Sci-Fi/Fantasy.

Edger Wright’s Baby Driver also picked up five nominations including Best Director and Best Male Newcomer for Ansel Elgort.
There’s plenty of different films and genres which shows the tastes Empire readers have with films like Call Me By Your Name, IT, Logan, John Wick: Chapter Two and of course Paddington 2 had to be in.
