Kenny Omega Is A Free Agent Could Join WWE or AEW & Fantasy All Elite Wrestling Roster

IMAGE VIA ALL ELITE WRESTLING

It has been reported today (Monday 7 January) by Tokyo Sports (via WrestlingInc) Kenny Omega is leaving New Japan Pro Wrestling.

They’re stating his next destination will be America and will join either WWE or AEW with WrestleVotes revealing WWE have done everything to sign the now hottest talent in wrestling with the suggestion they’ve offered A LOT of money.

If Omega does move to WWE, I’d ideally debut him as the number 30 in the Royal Rumble. Have the camera on the men in the ring and as the clock counts down and the buzz goes, have the fan reaction as the background track with the theme music and the shocked look on the faces of Samoa Joe, EC3, Drew McIntyre, Seth Rollins but have the camera slowly zoom on AJ Styles and Finn Balor.

Standing at the top of the ramp is Omega and slowly walks into the ring smiling at former Bullet Clubbers Balor and Styles and goes on to eliminates everyone and in the chaos of the reaction and cheering gets the mic to simply say “See you at Wrestlemania… Brock” and the program ends.

I wouldn’t have him wrestle until Wrestlemania as it would be a true co-main event to rival Becky Lynch vs Ronda Rousey, which would still close the show, and Lesnar could leave WWE losing against a competitor I think he’d respect and Omega could start a new era for Raw alongside Lynch.

However, this fantasy booking could be going down the drain as of tomorrow (Tuesday 8 January) as All Elite Wrestling will be holding their rally in Jacksonville where they’ll announce more info about the promotion from possibly confirming a TV deal to possible new talent signees and we’ll know more about their new show Double or Nothing.

Following the past announcements of the roles, Cody Rhodes and The Young Bucks will be holding, the most recent was revealed Brandi Rhodes will be the Chief Brand(i) Officer for AEW.

Pro Wrestling Sheet’s Ryan Satin has revealed Christopher Daniels, Frankie Kazarian and Scorpio Sky aka SoCal Uncensored have signed to All Elite Wrestling.

Now for a bit of fun, The Shaun Wren Blog will look into a beginning roster for AEW as they’re reportedly presenting contracts “comparable to what people make in WWE” according to Pro Wrestling Sheet’s Satin.

So we could see Omega join his Being The Elite co-stars alongside these choices.

Pentagon and Fenix

LEFT TO RIGHT - FENIX AND PENTAGON

Two of the hottest talent out of Mexico is Pentagon and Fenix as Wrestling News World (via WhatCulture) have offered the duo a competitive offer rumoured to be triple of the low six-offer deal by Impact Wrestling with the hopes to secure the exclusivity on the pair’s booking with the hope of presenting them at the rally tomorrow.

This really would be a sign of content by AEW to not only WWE but to their other rivals Impact and Ring of Honor as they’ll continue to take away their talent.

I haven’t had the chance to see Pentagon or Fenix perform but I love Pentagon ring gear style as he really stands out and hear from other wrestling fans how great he is.

Chris Jericho

At this point, it’ll be more surprising if Jericho doesn’t join AEW.

He's seemingly grown close to the Bucks and Cody during his time at NJPW and feuded with Omega and recently at Wrestle Kingdom 13 dropped the IC title and maybe a return to America is on the cards.

Plus what a big fuck you to Vince and co by Cody by signing one of their future Hall of Fame talents and a man who regenerates like Doctor Who with his character.

He’d also be a much-needed veteran for the locker room.

Pac (formerly Neville)

If you think signing Jericho would be a big fuck you, getting Pac would be even bigger.

The Newcastle talent was one of the biggest stars in WWE as one of their biggest heels before leaving and he looks like he’s free to join as Pac rejoined Dragon Gate and is taking UK indie bookings.

The question mark will be if he wants to sign another exclusive contract in the States again having just left one.

Tessa Blanchard

At the first Impact Wrestling PPV of the year Homecoming (MASSIVE SPOILER).

Tessa Blanchard lost the Knockouts Title at Homecoming which will make it easier for AEW to sign possibly one of the biggest talents in women’s wrestling since last year’s Mae Young Classic.

Blanchard (daughter of Four Horseman’s Tully Blanchard) won the in only women’s match on the All In card and could lead AEW’s women’s division.

Obviously, her future should be to join WWE and feud with Charlotte Flair but in the next couple of years being at AEW will be great for both her and them.

Viper

The next woman to join the brand should be Viper.

I’ve been lucky to see this talented wrestler perform for Riptide but it’s still a shame a major promotion like WWE, Impact or ROH hasn’t taken advantage.

As well as being a body positive of the brand, the Scot has the talent, moveset and athleticism to be a sympathetic babyface or monster heel.

The only possible issue is her contact with World of Sport in the UK but honestly, Tony Khan and Cody could her a much better deal.

Aussie Open

IMAGE RIPTIDE WRESTLING/ THE HEAD DROP

I love Aussie Open they’re a fantastic tag team and entertaining as hell.

Depending on how the brand goes with their content being aimed at the family market or slightly edgier, Aussie Open duo Kyle Fletcher and Mark Davis are great for everyone.

Clearly, they’re ideal for WWE and their NXT/ NXT UK product but AEW would benefit from having this babyface tag team.

'Speedball' Mike Bailey

'Speedball' Mike Bailey might not be the most mainstream known or to some wrestling fans but I can guarantee he’s one of the most talented wrestlers I’ve been lucky to witness live.

Honestly, this man has a part on some of the best matches I’ve ever seen including my match of the year again Walter at Riptide.

He could easily be the biggest babyface in the company. The issue is (as this was Satin’s pick as well) he currently has visa issues so if Cody, Khan etc can help with that they could have a massive star on their hands.

Tenille Dashwood (formerly Emma)

Formerly known as Emma in WWE, Dashwood is another Aussie on this list and is currently recovering from injury during with was a commentator at All In and could continue the role until she’s fit again.

For some, her character change when she returned to NXT was her best run and used right could’ve done well on the main roster and could be used in the women’s roster.

She is currently under contract with Ring of Honor.

Su Yung

Yung is one of the most unique wrestlers currently performing and could be the ever-present evil of All Elite Wrestling.

Jonah Rock

In Rock, AEW would their monster of the roster as this Aussie is fucking awesome!

For most big guys in wrestling, his quick, athletic and agile whilst pulling off impressive big moves and he’s someone who deserves to earn major money and become a mainstream name.

These are just a few names and the likes of Joey Ryan (depending if the King of Dong Style is what AEW is looking for) that I came up with that I believe would get people excited and that’s not just the wrestlers leaving WWE for AEW and those joining from the Being The Elite YouTube show.

The next woman to join is Alicia Atout, she was an interviewer at All In, and has become a big name in wrestling due to her work at Impact as well as her own YouTube channel.

At 23-years-old, she’s still young but is incredibly talented and working under the likes of Decker and Brandi Rhodes will only be a major bonus for her career.

As for commentators, I already have an idea of Dashwood being on the table as she recovers from injury, but I’m sure veteran Jim Ross will be involved and he should just to help in the early beginnings before making way for someone younger.

As for the wrestling, this could be the first major promotor to bring in intergender wrestling and I’m sure a lot of the talent I drew up would all be interested in getting involved as it’s been normalised by the indies so I can’t see wrestling fans kicking off too much.

Finally, this is just a bit of fun with some of my ideas and I look forward to learning a lot more tomorrow during the rally with the likelihood of getting all the info on Wednesday morning as the rally starts at 10pm here in the UK.
